The 2025 Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships are done and dusted for another year and the largest gathering of pickleball players in the Southern Hemisphere will go down as an overwhelming success.
Eight days of wall-to-wall pickleball action took place in early October as the 2025 Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships were held on Queensland’s Gold Coast for a second consecutive year. Over 1,200 picklers took to the courts of the Pimpama Sports Hub to battle it out in the sixth iteration of these Championships.
The 2025 Championships were the biggest on record, surpassing the record that was set at the 2024 Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships, and cementing the event as the second largest pickleball tournament outside of the United States (second only to the 2025 English Open).
Pickleball Australia Chief Executive, Brendan Lee, highlighted the way in which players and spectators were always front of mind throughout the Championships.
“Our main goal for this year’s Championships was to go above and beyond in delivering a memorable experience for all and ensuring we leave a lasting legacy on the Gold Coast,” Mr Lee said.
“At the front of our mind was ensuring that the player experience was second to none, and I would like to thank the entire team who helped achieve this. We could not deliver the Australian Pickleball Championships without the support of Trilogy Funds, our Presenting Partner.”
Trilogy Funds returned as Presenting Partner of the Championships for a second consecutive year. Members of the Trilogy Funds team were in attendance across all eight days of the tournament, providing players with an area to warm up ahead of their matches, discussing investment opportunities, and also handing out essentials such as sunscreen, water bottles, hats and athletic socks.
Additionally, after receiving over 700 entries into our competition, we were pleased to announce A. Freshwater was the winner of our prize pack that included a halfcourt net, Franklin pickleball launcher, two paddles and 12 X-40 Franklin pickleballs (the official ball of the 2025 Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships).

Co-Managing Director, Justin Smart, highlighted the complementary nature of Trilogy Funds’ partnership with Pickleball Australia.
“With competitors from six countries and an incredible age range spanning 80 years, it’s clear that it’s never too early or too late to become a pickler,” Mr Smart noted.
“Similarly, it’s never too early or too late to become an investor – but that’s not all pickleball has in common with investing. Like investing, pickleball is open to everyone, a quality that inspired Trilogy Funds to partner with Pickleball Association Australia. Its inclusiveness and accessibility make it a sport we’re proud to support.”
“And much like picklers, investors are always striving for consistent returns,” Mr Smart concluded.
